When God Writes Your Love Story

So my best friend Giselle told me about this beautiful couple & I just had to share. Not only are they ridiculously fashionable but Veronica and JT have a love that can only be described as "a God thing." Here's something they wrote that summarizes their story.

"There’s no better way to describe their story other than by saying it is one that truly has been written by the Lord. When JT introduced himself to Veronica he had no idea that just a few weeks before the Lord had spoken to her and revealed to her that he was the man she was going to marry.  However, little did she know that this would be the beginning of a long waiting period until this promise would be fulfilled. Eventually, the waiting, the praying, the hoping, the fasting, and the believing paid off and the Lord showed Himself faithful once again. After the Lord spoke to her, He spoke to JT and revealed to him the same thing Veronica had been holding on to for a year and a half. When JT shared his revelation with Veronica he was absolutely stunned at the fact that she had received the same revelation and never once acted on or spoke of that revelation. So because of this their union will and forever be a God thing."

WOW!!!

That is absolutely amazing and beautiful! So here's my Sunday morning encouragement (if that wasn't already encouragement enough lol)

Ladies: Be Patient! If there's one thing that not dating has taught me it's that God's timing is perfect. PERFECT! When you wait for God to show you the way in relationships and in any aspect of your life the results will be so much better than anything you can imagine. You know that phrase the sky is the limit? Well although we may be limited to the sky God is not! God is bigger than anything we can imagine so that means his plans for us are bigger than we can imagine! That also means the man he created for you is sexier, smarter, & godlier than you can imagine (lol).

However, waiting and being patient doesn't mean sitting around. Live life have fun and enjoy your singleness because there are some things about being single that are just plain fun.

Gentlemen: My advice to you is don't try to force yourself to be ready when you are not.  So you met a girl and she's different than any other girl you have ever met before and you decide she must be the one. Although you aren't ready to, you get into a relationship with her anyways because you don't want anyone else to get to her first.

This example is so wrong on so many levels but I will only talk about one reason why I hate when guys do this.

Girls are not trophies! They are not brand new limited edition jordan's that you have to get before every one else (lol). Your queen is out there I promise you and she is YOUR queen. Meaning no one not even the best looking guy in the world can take her from you because God created this queen just for you. So my advice? Please don't rush it and screw it up! Once again God's timing is perfect!

Well that's all I have for ya'll today! I love you guys and if you like"The Sundays" be sure to let me know via the comments below or social media!

Walk Away

I am learning so much from my no dating fast! Today God actually taught me a lesson through a dream. Well I think I was half sleep half awake. Anyways, I learned last night that running from your problems won't solve them but sitting in them doesn't help either. I also learned that running away and walking away are two different things.

See I was running away from my problem. There was a guy who I honestly wanted to get away from but I felt like it was impossible. No matter what I did he was still there (verge of stalking lol) so I believed that I just had to deal with it. However, last night God taught me that he's still there because I allow him to be; I'm still maintaining a relationship with him without even realizing it.

Let me explain.

By responding to his texts and sly comments, and by thinking about what he's going to do next I'm maintaing the relationship. The relationship is there because I allow him to occupy a constant space in my mind.

Last night I learned that I have complete control. By thinking about him, avoiding him, and running away I was giving him control over my emotions and my day. However, now by walking away I'm walking away from the temptation to care about what he thinks about me or what he's going to do next. By walking away I am removing myself from the relationship and by doing that I am ending the relationship. How? Well, you can't have a relationship with just one person it's a mutual thing between 2 or more.

So, what I'm saying is although a person may never completely go away that doesn't mean you have to deal with their mess. If you are in a relationship right now that isn't good for you or healthy for you I encourage you to walk away. Stop replying to the texts, stop checking their social media, and stop allowing them to take up space in your mind. Fill that space that they once occupied with scripture of  God's love.

Here's a few beautiful scriptures to get you started off

Matthew 6:28, 30 Look at the wildflowers in the field... If God makes what grows in the field so beautiful, what do you think he will do for you? It's just grass -- one day alive, and the next day someone throws it into a fire. But God cares enough to make it beautiful. Surely he will do much more for you. (ERV)

Romans 8:39 I'm absolutely convinced that nothing — nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable — absolutely nothing can get between us and God's love. (MSG)

Alternative Spring Break

Remember how I challenged all of us (myself included) to do more community service? Well this week is my spring break and instead of chilling I decided to go serve in the Washington DC community. Today is my third day on the trip and I have already been impacted! Although, I will still be working with children this week I did branch out of my comfort zone and I also worked with homeless, addicted, and HIV positive individuals. The biggest thing that I have taken from this trip so far is the importance of mental health! Loving yourself and believing that you can overcome any obstacle greatly affects your ability to succeed and move forward. I won't go into too much detail but I will say be confident, be fearless, and be happy! Live life knowing that you were individually created by the creator of ALL THINGS and he has perfectly drafted and crafted your story. Every obstacle you face has a purpose and every obstacle you overcome has a purpose. No matter what you go through in life remember that it is written that in the end you will win! Don't be ashamed of your story, share it and inspire!

P.S. Be only the lookout for weekly Sunday Inspiration starting next week!
